I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I love music – particularly jazz, R&B, and hip hop. I have three kids, an amazing partner, and one anxious dog. I’m a guitarist in a soul-funk band. Sometimes I think about learning to play keys. I’ve been keeping bees since I was in elementary school. I’m grateful to have parents that encouraged me to follow my esoteric interests. 

Professionally, I’ve worked in SaaS since 2004. As an engineer, I’ve worked up and down the stack, building systems for healthcare, HR, education, and fintech. As an engineering leader I’m passionate about growing successful, self-organizing teams, designing team interaction models, and aligning teams with organization goals. I love trying out new planning/brainstorming/learning activities. I’ve been accused of hoarding sticky notes.
