Tech Links

I’ve found a lot of value and inspiration from the following sources. For now, I’m only including links to things that are 1) available online and 2) related to software engineering.

  • The Beautiful Mess – I’ve found so much inspiration and valuable knowledge in John Cutler’s writings, tweets, and videos. I recently had the pleasure of receiving some 1:1 coaching from John as well. Highly recommended!
  • The Pragmatic Engineer – Lot’s of great advice for scaling engineering orgs, motivating engineers, current events in tech, and more. Gergely will occasionally make some of his content free so it’s worth signing up for his newsletter even if you don’t pay for it.
  • Product Talk – Great content from Teresa Torres on product discovery and continually integrating learning into product decisions.
  • Rubick.com – Jade is an excellent engineering leader and his blog describes many of the foundatational elements of New Relic’s engineering culture.
  • Charity.wtf – Tons of thought provoking content on leadership, technology, and observability.
  • Wardley Maps – If you want to up-level your strategic thinking skills I highly recommend this free book.
